Level 2 Recreational Running Coach, Athletics Australia
ATHLETIC BACKGROUND
Aaron’s sport of choice, until relatively recently, was rugby union. Highlights include playing premiership grade at University in Brisbane and representing the NZ Law Blacks in 2011. Aaron’s love for running came later in life and was borne out of his lifelong deep connection to the wild. Once Aaron discovered ultra distance foot races that traversed pristine single-track trails up and down intimidating mountain ranges deep within national parks, he was all in. Since starting his journey with Mile 27, Aaron has grown fond of taking a process focused approach to his training. He relishes the unrivalled feeling of pushing his mind and body hard in high intensity hill repetition and track interval sessions, and the sense of community and self-discovery that comes from competing in races.
