Join Mile 27 founder Andy DuBois for an awesome New Zealand trail running adventure.
This five day training camp is a fantastic way to explore the amazing trails and scenery around Queenstown, develop your trail skills and learn how to improve and enjoy your running more. A chance to escape for a long weekend, leave the pressures of everyday life behind and spend the days running, relaxing, eating and of course talking about running!
Small group size means coach to client ratio is 1:5 so you will get plenty of personalised attention whilst on the trails. Pick up technique tips whilst on the trail, learn from discussions on different aspects of training in the afternoons and enjoy good company in the evenings.
The camp caters for elites to mid-back of the pack, all we ask is you are capable of covering approx 100km with approx 5000m of vertical over 5 days.
Arrive in Queenstown – picked up from airport and taken to our accommodation.
Friday, Saturday,Sunday & Monday:
Each morning will consist of a run of approximately 20km taking in the best Queenstown has to offer. We’ll take in the magnificent views over Aspiring National Park from atop Mt Roy, the 360 degree views from the summit of Ben Lomond and explore the network of trails around delightful Arrowtown. We’ll also explore the stunning scenery around Crucible Lake and catch a Jet Boat back to civilisation.
Each afternoon will have a discussion/seminar on some aspect of training plus plenty of time to relax and soak up the Queenstown views.
All runs are a mix of a training session, developing trail skills and time for photos of the great views.
Morning run and then checkout at around 11am in time for flights home in the afternoon.
Total distance covered: 100km over the 5 days.
DATES / COSTS
Cost includes 5 nights share room in luxury accommodation, 5 breakfasts and dinners and, of course, coaching from Andy DuBois and another Mile 27 Coach.
Plus note for your safe participation in the camp you are required to bring the following
Mandatory Gear Requirements
GPS Watch capable of downloading routes onto it
Water Carrying capacity of 3 litres
Required food for up to 6 hours on the trails x 4 days
Thermal top x 2
Long tights/running pants
Pack to carry the above
Please note if you do not have mandatory gear then you may not be allowed to participate . Coaches reserve the right to determine if you have sufficient gear to ensure your safety on the camp
Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance to cover the time you are in New Zealand.
